At that point, Athena had already been in Real Estate for four years and had a thriving business and the skills necessary to succeed. Today, despite the numerous health challenges she faces, Athena’s business continues to grow year over year. Thursday Jul 07, 2022
Thursday Jul 07, 2022
It's not uncommon for agents to record a good number of transactions in one year then have a weak year afterwards, and often the broker or even the agent themselves aren’t at fault. It's usually because the people who know, like and trust them didn't buy or sell houses that year.
And so, for real estate agents who want to make their income more predictable, investing is one way to close the income gap.
In this episode, real estate agent and investor Carl Buch, who's literally been in the real estate business since he could walk and is now an established investor, gives insight into building a successful real estate business.
If you're out and about talking to people, that's a great way to find deals. - Carl Buch

Do agent-investors have more advantages than investors with no real estate license? - Why investing provides more income predictability
Our income isn't always 100% reliable. How does investing help to fill this gap? - How to stay balanced when you have other passions
Why are systems so important?
Guest Bio
Carl is both an agent and investor, largely in commercial investing these days, but his background encompasses real estate in residential as well.
He’s been in the real estate game since he could walk, following in his father's footsteps, an investor/broker in Charlotte, NC. His building science bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State prepped him in the ways of architecture, construction, and engineering.
App State’s Boone locale, in the heart of North Carolina’s Mountains, also set him on his path to outdoor recreation and passion for adventure. So, before graduating in 2010, he bought his first house in his dream locale – Chattanooga, TN – where small-town vibes meet big city amenities. In 2018, he joined forces with Prestige Property Brokers; a small boutique firm focused on the custom client experience and passion for relationships. These passions guide his life, and he relishes the opportunity to guide his clients to theirs.

How do we connect with investors so we can become their agent of choice?
